Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Care
Location: Carmarthenshire
Salary: £38,500
Hours: Monday-Friday
Contract: Full-time, permanent
We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a 4-bedded children's residential home supporting three young people in the Carmarthenshire area.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to step into a key leadership position and help shape positive outcomes for children and young people.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the home. Responsibilities include:
* Leading staff to deliver safe, nurturing and consistent care
* Supporting the Registered Manager with compliance, safeguarding and day-to-day operations
* Planning and supervising Monday-Friday shifts to maintain high-quality standards
* Mentoring, supervising and developing staff in line with organisational expectations
* Ensuring all care/pathway plans are understood, implemented and regularly reviewed
* Maintaining accurate, detailed and compliant records, logs and documentation
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a residential xkybehq children's setting, including leading shifts
* A full manual driving licence
* Strong communication, leadership and decision-making skills
* A passion for supporting young people and developing staff teams
* Must be 21+ due to care regulations
