At Principality Building Society, we aim to protect our members, colleagues, and organization from financial crime. We are currently seeking two Financial Crime Analysts for an 18-month fixed-term contract to join our dedicated team.
This role offers a great opportunity to develop and apply investigative and analytical skills in a purpose-driven organization committed to doing the right thing.
What you’ll be doing
* Investigating internal suspicion reports across the Society, including Commercial.
* Analyzing large data sets to assess financial crime risks.
* Providing expert advice on financial crime risks, policies, and controls.
* Conducting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks, including document verification for onboarding.
* Using screening and account monitoring tools to identify suspicious activity.
* Supporting complex fraud investigations according to the Fraud Response Plan.
* Preparing reports for bodies like the NCA and Cifas.
Skills & Knowledge
* Strong analytical and investigative skills.
* Understanding of financial crime risks.
* Knowledge of financial services products such as savings and mortgages.
* Discretion handling sensitive information.
* Risk management understanding and approach.
Experience
* Experience in financial crime prevention or financial services.
* Investigation experience.
* Familiarity with Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) submission.
