Technical Acoustic Sales Engineer / Consultant
Location: Reading | Salary: £30,000-£50,000 + benefits
A well-established noise control company in Reading is looking for a Technical Acoustic Sales Engineer / Consultant to join its expanding team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an acoustics specialist who can blend technical knowledge with commercial awareness to deliver customised noise control solutions, maintain strong client connections, and contribute to ongoing business development.
In this role, you'll work at the intersection of acoustic engineering, project management, and sales. You'll support clients across industrial, commercial, and built‑environment sectors while helping to shape the company's future growth.
Role Benefits

Key Responsibilities
* Creating and delivering tailored noise control designs and systems
* Carrying out acoustic surveys and offering informed, client‑focused guidance
* Producing technical documentation, including proposals, quotes, and reports
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and external partners
* Supporting wider business development activities
* Coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth and successful project outcomes
Candidate Requirements
* Degree in Acoustics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
* Background in noise control, acoustics consultancy, or relevant manufacturing environments
* Solid grasp of both practical and theoretical acoustics
* Strong communication, organisational, and presentation abilities
* IOA membership (MIOA or working towards it is advantageous)
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required
