Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Event Manager to join our dynamic Global Events Team at The Events House. This role plays a pivotal part in the planning, coordination, and execution of a diverse range of live and experiential events. You will serve as the operational bridge between cross-functional departments—including Accounts, Operations, Technical and Branding—ensuring a unified approach to event strategy, execution, and client delivery.
As an Event Manager, you will not only be integral to the end to end planning of the events, but also contribute to developing our team into subject matter experts (SMEs). Your leadership will influence our internal culture, client satisfaction, and the quality of service across every touchpoint. You will play a key role in evolving the department’s best practices, fostering professional growth, and delivering industry-leading activations.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-End Event Delivery: Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of a wide range of events—both local and international—ensuring every detail aligns with client expectations and company standards.
* Cross-Departmental Leadership: Act as the central liaison across departments (Accounts, Operations, Branding) to synchronise event planning, budget management, brand alignment, and logistics.
* Budget & Financial Oversight: Manage event-specific budgets and provide detailed reporting on cost tracking in collaboration with the Accounts team.
* On-Site Leadership: Take charge of event operations on-site, overseeing setup, execution, and breakdown while maintaining a strong focus on safety, team coordination, and client experience.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in every aspect of event delivery.
* Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships at every stage—pre-event, during, and post-event—ensuring a high level of service and ongoing satisfaction.
* Operational Systems & Tools: Utilise company systems, including internal event management platforms and Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive), to maintain clear documentation and smooth workflows.
* Team Mentorship & Development: Support and mentor team members to build their department knowledge, confidence, and capabilities. Promote a positive, empowering, and inclusive team culture.
* Continuous Improvement: Produce detailed event reports and debriefs, including performance metrics, client feedback, and key takeaways to inform future planning and improvements
* Capacity Planning & Scalability: Evaluate departmental readiness and resource capacity to ensure the business can meet growing demands without compromising on quality or culture.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
* Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in event management or project coordination.
* Deep understanding of health and safety compliance, risk management, and operational planning.
* Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex timelines.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on clarity and collaboration.
* High levels of organisational precision and time management, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.
* Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, with a flexible, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset.
* Proficiency in Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Drive) and familiarity with modern event management software platforms.
* Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, and to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends during event periods.
* Full UK driving licence.
