The Surgery and Associated Services (SAS) Care Group at Nottingham University Hospital are looking for an individual with a passion for improvement to join our senior management team as Directorate General Manager for Theatres, Anaesthesia and Perioperative Care The Directorate General Manager works as part of a triumverate to lead the delivery of five services within the SAS, with operational and strategic responsibility for these services. The Directorate General Manager will provide visible and authentic leadership for the c.1000 people working within the Directorate, oversee operational delivery in line with relevant standards and lead the management of the Directorate's c.£100million budget. Main duties of the job 1. To provide visible leadership so that all staff in the directorate are engaged and motivated to provide safe and effective patient care. 2. To foster a culture that promotes openness and where people have the confidence to speak up, ensuring that communication mechanisms are operating effectively in the Care Group 3. To foster a climate of innovation and improvement for all services in the directorate including encouraging staff to identify further opportunities for improvement. 4.
