Seven Social Care is seeking an experienced and passionate Children’s Social Worker to join our team in Gloucester, UK.
As a Children’s Social Worker, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and their families in line with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
The rate of pay for this role is £45 P/H and £150 expences weekly.
Key responsibilities will include:
– Undertaking social work assessments and investigations to identify and manage risks to children and young people
– Developing and implementing care plans to support children and young people within their families or in alternative care settings
– Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to provide effective interventions and support for children, young people and their families
– Preparing reports and attending meetings, including court hearings, as required
– Contributing to the development of social work practice and service delivery within the team and organisation
– Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of work, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures
Requirements:
– A recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
– Significant post-qualifying experience as a Children’s Social Worker, including Child Protection and Court work
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, professionals and service users
– Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures related to social work practice, including safeguarding and child protection
– The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing demands
– A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
