DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a HGV Training Manager to play a vital role in managing driver safety, training, and compliance.
Role Responsibilities
As part of your duties, while maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:
1. Collaborate with the Transport Management team to ensure driver training to DHL standards, maintaining safety and compliance.
2. Monitor driver telematics and compliance reporting via Microlise, providing coaching to improve standards.
3. Provide driver training, conduct new driver inductions, and perform driver assessments in line with DHL policies.
4. Support accident and incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
5. Manage and update documentation such as training records, risk assessments, and SSOWs.
Candidate Requirements
We welcome applications from candidates with the following experience, but don't hesitate if you don't meet every criterion—DHL values talent and potential:
* Must hold a Class 1 Driving Licence with a valid Digital Tachograph Card and CPC Card.
* Experience in driver training or HGV driving assessments is desirable but not essential.
* Proficient in IT, with experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Microlise experience is a plus but not required.
* Confident in communicating effectively both in writing and verbally across various levels.
* Willing to attend training courses in the North West and Midlands.
