The Opportunity
We are currently seeking to strengthen our team of Psychologists through a Pool recruitment. In this role you will provide trauma informed and culturally responsive clinical services that promote the recovery, healing, and wellbeing of children in their Out of Home Care environment. Approximately half of your role will involving providing clinical advice and referral with the balance comprising counselling and therapy to children in care and providing support and guidance their carers. We currently have permanent and fixed-term vacancies south of the river in our Armadale, Cannington, Fremantle offices, and a permanency vacancy in the Pilbarra with the option of living and working in the Pilbara or servicing this region fly-in-fly out based in Head Office Fremantle or possibly our Perth Office. For Psychologist Roles:
Psychologist (Provisional) Operational Officer Qualified Level 1: Tertiary degree qualification in Psychology or equivalent approved by the Psychology Board of Australia, eligible for 'Provisional Registration' on the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) register of Psychologists and eligible for one of the following:
1. To commence or continue an approved Psychology Board of Australia internship pathway to achieve general registration or;
2. To work in addition to University placements, in compliance with the Psychology Board of Australia policy, whilst completing the higher degree pathway to achieve general registration,, completing an accredited postgraduate degree of two or more years duration (two-year Master’s Degree or Doctorate Degree).
Psychologist Operational Officer Qualified Level 2: Tertiary degree qualification in Psychology approved by the Psychology Board of Australia AND 'General Registration' as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Psychologist Operational Officer Qualified 3: A 2-year post graduate masters degree in Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychology or approved equivalent, eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, and specialist endorsement with AHPRA as a Clincal, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologist.
