Our amazing TeamSunnybank in Aberdeen are now on the lookout for caring, compassionate and flexible colleagues to join them as Support Practitioners on a permanent (16‑39 hours per week) basis.
Our team and the individuals you’ll support
You’ll become part of a friendly, dedicated, fun team who supports three gentlemen and one lady with complex learning and physical disabilities who live in their own shared home. The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same.
You’ll build a genuine relationship with each individual and be part of moments that really matter; whether it’s providing support to cook a meal, achieve a goal, try something new or just feel understood. In addition to supporting the individuals with all aspects of their daily living, you’ll also support them with hobbies and interests such as music, films, in‑house activities, walks, day trips, cinema, swimming, discos and arts & crafts.

Shift patterns
As we’re dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual, shift patterns include early mornings, days, evenings, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays, so we will need you to be flexible. Typically, you will work 2‑4 sleepovers per month. Our sleepovers don’t form part of your contracted hours, meaning you will receive an additional payment of £107.60 for each sleepover that you work!
Requirements
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy. If you’re successful, you will need to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
Applicants who have spent more than 12 months out of the UK (excluding France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18 will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government or police authority as part of our pre‑employment checks.
