Job Title: Young Persons Recovery Coordinator Salary: £19 per hour Hours; 9am-5pm Location: Newcastle Immediate start I am recruiting for a Young Persons Recovery Coordinator who can thrive as part of a team to provide high quality care, treatment and access to opportunities for children and young people across Newcastle. About this role: As a Young persons recovery worker, you will work directly with young people facing challenges related to substance misuse, mental health or complex social needs. You will deliver services for children and young adults up to the age of 25, with a strong focus on age-appropriate support that empowers them to make positive lifestyle choices and behavioural changes. You will support their journey towards lasting change through structured support, 1-1 key working and coordinated care planning. A vital part of the role involves working in close partnership with children and young people, their families and a wide range of stakeholders including schools, childrens services, youth justice and other support networks. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1-1 support to children and young adults (up to the age of 25)experiencing substance misuse and mental health needs. Complete initial assessments including care plans, risk assessments tailored to the individuals needs, goals and risks Deliver age appropriate, evidence based interventions that promote lifestyle choices and behaviour change Build trusting, therapeutic relationships that encourage engagement and sustained participation in support Work in partnership with schools, youth services, mental health and other relevant services Identify and manage safeguarding concerns by following child protection procedures. Managing your diary and client appointments to ensure each client is receiving the highest level of care and support. Desirable: Ability to conduct effective 1:1 support sessions, building trust and tailoring support to individual needs Compassionate, non-judgemental and patient.
