Job Title: Assistant Poultry Farm ManagerLocation: Kent (Accommodation Available)Salary: £35,000 £38,000 + AccommodationHours: 37.5 hours per week, plus half day at the weekendJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentOverviewWe are seeking an Assistant Poultry Farm Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a busy poultry farm. This role would suit someone with a background in poultry or animal husbandry who is looking to take the next step into a supervisory position. You will play a key role in maintaining bird welfare, supporting production targets, and ensuring high standards of biosecurity and farm management.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the day-to-day running of the poultry farm, including bird handling, feeding, and general welfareMaintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and biosecurity across the siteMonitor environmental conditions to ensure optimal bird health and performanceAssist in delivering efficient production and high-quality outputRecord and track bird health, feed consumption, and production dataSupport staff scheduling, training, and day-to-day supervision when requiredWork with suppliers and contractors to ensure feed, equipment, and materials are availableCarry out routine inspections of buildings and equipment and report maintenance needsUse data to identify opportunities for continuous improvementSupport coordination of production and dispatch requirementsSkills & ExperienceExperience within poultry, farming, or animal husbandryUnderstanding of bird welfare, biosecurity, and farm operationsStrong organisational skills with attention to detailAbility to supervise staff and support daily farm operationsGood communication skills and team-focused approachBasic IT skills including Microsoft Office or farm management systemsPractical, hands-on approach with willingness to work outdoorsFlexible approach to working hours, including weekends when requiredWhats on OfferCompetitive salary £35,000 £38,000Accommodation providedOpportunity to develop into Farm Manager roleStable, long-term position within a growing agricultural operationTPBN1_UKTJ
