1. Interim Financial Controller - Financial Services/ insurance
2. Location:Bristol (Hybrid - 2 days on-site, flexible hours)
3. Start Date:September 2025
4. Duration: 7 months (September 2025 - March 2026)
5. Day Rate: Competitive (Inside IR35) £400 upwards depending on experience/ pay-type

We're working with a well-established financial services business in Bristol seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to support the senior leadership team through a busy period of quarterly reporting, year-end, and budgeting. This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a high-performing team of three Management Accountants (2 qualified, 1 part-qualified).
Key Responsibilities:
7. Oversee financial reporting, controls, and validation of financial data
8. Lead and support the team through quarter-end and year-end close
9. Drive accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and budgeting
10. Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of key outputs
11. Provide oversight on tax-related matters (a small but important part of the role)
What We're Looking For
12. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
13. Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a financial services environment (insurance experience is desirable)
14. Strong technical reporting and controls background
15. Diligent, detail-oriented, and confident in validating financial data
16. Available to start in early September 2025
