As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the service's facilities are fit for purpose, gardening, and regularly conducting audits to identify and repair faults, ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff, and visitors.
Working alongside an established team, you will handle all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will have:
* Assisting with maintaining the service, buildings, facilities, and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose.
* Utilising good DIY skills to ensure the safety of service users is maintained.
* Assisting in regular checks and maintenance.
* Supporting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
* Assisting in decorating tasks.
* Liaising with a manager to report faults and defects.
* Participating in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
* Coordinating with contractors on site and completing all necessary paperwork and tool checks.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Comply with systems and procedures.
* Have previous experience in a maintenance role.
* Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* Show courtesy and respect at all times to ensure high-quality service.
* Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
Where you will be working:
Location: Sturt's Lane, Walton on the Hill, Tadworth KT20 7RQ
You will be working at Sturt House, a recovery-focused rehabilitation unit providing specialist mental health treatment for individuals aged 18 and over. Working as part of a team, you will provide individualized care and treatment, utilizing least restrictive practice principles and safe practices to support service users in their recovery. Sturt House is committed to delivering a high standard of care, with service users encouraged and supported to be actively involved in their treatment and pathway development according to their abilities.
