We are currently working with several forward-thinking secondary schools in Northampton that are looking to appoint a dedicated Scientist - a skilled Science Teacher - to join their teams from October 2025. These schools have a strong commitment to high-quality science education and offer either permanent roles or long-term placements, depending on your preference. The Role: Teach General Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to specialise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics depending on your expertise Create engaging, practical, and thought-provoking lessons that inspire students to explore the world around them Support students of all abilities, using effective differentiation strategies to maximise progress and confidence Work collaboratively with a committed Science department on planning, curriculum development, and assessment Participate in science-related enrichment activities, school trips, and STEM initiatives Ideal Candidate Profile: Holds QTS, QTLS, or an internationally recognised equivalent teaching qualification Strong subject knowledge in at least one science discipline, with confidence in delivering a broad science curriculum Enthusiastic about practical, inquiry-based learning and able to relate scientific concepts to real-world scenarios A reflective, resilient teacher with strong behaviour management skills and a commitment to inclusion Willing to contribute positively to wider school life and continuous professional development Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
