Role responsibilities
The UAT Trainer & Transition Specialist ensures the successful delivery and adoption of new or enhanced Finance and Governance systems across by coordinating and executing user acceptance testing (UAT), developing and delivering comprehensive training, and supporting seamless transitions to operational use. This role bridges the gap between technical system delivery and confident user adoption, ensuring systems meet business requirements and users are fully equipped to operate them effectively.
1. Develop, coordinate and execute user acceptance, upgrade testing, and regression testing by following defined test scripts and processes, ensuring that new or enhanced systems meet documented business requirements and do not negatively impact existing functionality.
2. Developing and maintaining comprehensive UAT and training plans by aligning testing and training schedules with project timelines and business needs, to ensure readiness for new rollouts and system upgrades.
3. Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects or issues encountered during testing by collaborating closely with technical teams and business stakeholders, to drive timely resolution and maintain project delivery timelines.
4. Creating, updating, and delivering engaging training programmes and user support materials—such as manuals, e-learning modules, and quick-reference guides—so that end users are fully equipped to adopt new systems and processes confidently and effectively.
Who we’re looking for
5. Demonstrable experience in user acceptance testing, including following test scripts and accurately recording outcomes.
6. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver effective training and user support.
7. High attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
8. Ability to work collaboratively within project teams and follow established processes.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
