There to Care is seeking friendly, reliable casual support workers to make a real difference in people’s lives. This role includes working across aged care and NDIS supports.
We are looking for casual support workers who support people in the community who have become isolated due to age, disability, injury, or circumstance. Support workers will be helping people with activities that build independence, encourage social interaction, and allow them to enjoy life.
Preference is for candidates who are willing to work in the Sydney region.
Your role and responsibilities:
* Companionship
* Life Skills Training (eg. teaching someone to take public transport)
* Social activities, like movies, fishing and going to galleries and museums
* Cooking and meal preparation
* Help with appointments (eg. doctors) and errands (eg. grocery shopping)
* Light exercise, such as walks
* Local transport and getting around
* Assistance with Cleaning (light housework)
* Assistance with Gardening
* Assistance with Personal Care
Role requirements:
* The right to work in Australia and 100 points of identification.
* An Australian driver’s licence, a registered and fully insured vehicle.
* Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
* 3 references.
* Certificate III or IV in Age Care, Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent.
* Infection Control training.
* A Police Check issued within the last 3 years.
* A NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* NDIS Worker Orientation Training.
Job Type: Casual
Minimum 6 months experience in aged care, disability support, or community services is required.
Work Location: in person, in the wider Sydney region.
