Applications are invited for a Research Fellow position within the School of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. The work will involve the development of a miniature deployable system for analysing microparticles in water as part of the three‑year European project Aquamon, offering collaboration across partners throughout Europe.
Responsibilities
* Lead development of the miniature deployable system for analysing microparticles in water.
* Organise and manage own research activities effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
* Prepare reports, present results to the consortium and write research papers.
* Work effectively in a team, organising time, tasks and responsibilities with other members.
Qualifications
* PhD or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant physical or engineering science.
* Experience in design and fabrication of microfluidic systems, and demonstrable skills in sensors, micro‑fabrication, electronics and programming.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
