Chef - Lead with Passion, Cook with Purpose
Location: Clifton College, 32 College Road, Clifton, Bristol BS8 3JH
Salary: £14.22 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Working Pattern: 5 out of 7 days per week

As a Chef De Partie for Sodexo, you will assist with the daily running of the college catering department and ensure every meal is top-tier. What You’ll Do
* Assist in the preparation, production, presentation and service of all meals to the contract standards and timings.
* Ensure control of raw materials and portions to company standards and ensure food is served at the correct temperature.
* Assist in the service of meals as required.
* Assist the head chef with planning menus and orders.
* Receive and check in goods against invoices for quality.
* Ensure goods are stored correctly on a first in, first out basis and comply with health and safety regulations.
* Comply with health and safety, hygiene, cleanliness, fire safety and COSHH regulations; be aware of hazards in the workplace.
* Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in food preparation and service areas.
* Keep work areas tidy and assist with routine cleaning schedules.
* Communicate well and provide a courteous, efficient service to customers and clients.
* Participate in training and team meetings to meet company and client standards.
* Work as part of a team to promote harmonious working relationships.
* Assist at special ad-hoc functions, some outside regular hours.
* Report incidents promptly and take appropriate action.
* Comply with Sodexo policies and client site rules.
Irregular Duties
* Assist at special functions as required; overtime may be paid.
* Report complaints and incidents and take action where possible.
* Attend meetings and courses as required.
What You Bring
Essential
* 1-2 years Chef de Partie experience
* Commis Chef considered for a new challenge
* Strong literacy and numeracy
* Enhanced DBS Clearance
* 706/2 or NVQ2 chef qualification, or equivalent
* Previous catering experience and passion for food and teamwork
* Excellent interpersonal skills with customers, clients, and staff
* Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
* Good time management and organizational skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet standards, with emphasis on hygiene
* Proactive, self-motivated with initiative and ability to meet deadlines
* Team player with flexibility and openness to change
Desirable
* 706/3 or NVQ3 chef qualification, or equivalent
* Experience in catering management and employee engagement
* Experience managing a team in an educational setting
* Experience managing budgets
