Warehouse and Logistics Specialist
Overview:
The Warehouse and Logistics Specialist will guide, assist and support the procurement, strategic sourcing, logistics and warehouse/inventory control processes for the assigned country. The role requires a multi disciplined subject matter expert in integrated end to end supply chain supervisory and supporting systems/tools to support.
Responsibilities:
* Organize the storage and distribution of all goods relating to Service Implementation, ensuring that the correct equipment has been received and the correct equipment is in the right place for the right project. The flow of goods, stock control, warehousing and transportation will fall under the authority of the Warehouse and Logistics Specialist.
* Manage local warehouse stock levels, delivery times and transport costs
* Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers, regarding delivery and queries
* Analyse logistical patterns and problems and produce solutions
* Receive goods in and confirm receipt is correct to order
* Input of goods received onto system
* Packing and palletization of shipping goods
* Co-ordination of pre inspections
* Coordination of stock movements (location to location)
* Maintain levels of consumables for project support
* Notification to Project Managements/Internal stakeholders and customers of equipment delivery and shipping
* Travel to other locations to support the logistics needs (mainly Netherlands)
* Any other tasks as directed assigned by the Global Logistics Manager
Requirements
* BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience.
* 3+ years of Warehouse and Logistics experience.
* 2+ years’ experience in Satellite communication industry
* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Ability to proactively anticipate customer needs and make recommendations to meet those needs.
* Ability to ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner and Company HSE system is adhered to.
* PC experience in a Windows operating environment with strong typing ability.
* ERP system experience would be nice to have
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skill in English.
* Able to work proactively in multi-cultural environment.
* Excellent documentation and communication skills.
* Highly motivated with the ability to work alone in the field and cope with tight deadlines.
