Engineering Coordinator - Ballyrashane

The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) runs a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and provides high-quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef, and sheep farmers across Ireland.

The Role:
The successful candidate will support the Maintenance & Engineering Manager by coordinating daily and weekly engineering tasks, ensuring resources are available when needed. The Engineering Coordinator will also contribute to operational excellence and oversee the maintenance team's daily operations in the absence of the Maintenance Manager.
Additional key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
1. Review and process Like for Like (L4L) work requests, ensuring all necessary information is complete and accurate.
2. Plan and schedule L4L work requests to maximize crew efficiency and maintain clear communication with request originators.
3. Identify and procure materials or services required for L4L activities based on detailed job plans.
4. Ensure all resources (parts and materials) are available for scheduled work orders and communicate effectively with operations staff regarding production adjustments or priority changes.
5. Assist in consolidating new Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) routines, reviewing them with the Engineering Action Group, eliminating duplications, and optimizing schedules.
6. Procure quality spare parts at competitive prices.
7. Support the Dedicated Technical Resource Technicians (DTRs) with maintenance labor and parts resources.
The Person:
To succeed in this role, applicants should have:
* Previous experience in purchasing and maintenance planning.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills.
* The ability to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally.
* Adaptability, a proactive attitude, and a can-do approach.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A relevant engineering qualification would be advantageous.
