An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly ambitious and skilled Art teacher to join a thriving independent school in Plymouth as Head of Art from September 2025. The school has a strong tradition in the creative arts and is now looking for a leader to take its already flourishing Art Department to the next level.
This is a full-time role leading the delivery of Fine Art and Photography from KS3 through A-Level. The department includes a team of enthusiastic specialists, two large studios, a photography darkroom, and digital art facilities.
You will be responsible for the development of the Art curriculum, overseeing external exhibitions, developing partnerships with local artists, and nurturing the creative talents of pupils across the age range.
Experience and Qualifications
• Art degree and QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Proven success teaching GCSE and A-Level Art/Photography
• Previous leadership or subject coordination experience desirable
• Portfolio of student achievement and collaborative projects
• Legal right to work in the UK
