We are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Clerk to join an established Accountancy Practice based in Southwick. As an Accounts Clerk, you will support the accounting team with VAT preparation, accounts production, and general financial duties.
As an Accounts Clerk, your key responsibilities will include:
* Recording and preparing VAT Returns
* Preparing quarterly MTD Returns
* Producing annual and periodic financial statements
* Completing tax computations and assisting with corporation tax returns
Requirements for the Accounts Clerk:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience within a UK Accountancy Practice
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and methods
* Proficient in accounting software such as Excel, QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero
Benefits and Salary for the Accounts Clerk:
* Full time permanent role based in Southwick
* Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm
* Fully office based (no hybrid working)
* £35,000 - £40,000 (dependent on skills and experience)
* 20–25 days annual leave + bank holidays
