We are looking for a Practice Cleaner to join our team. The working pattern for this role will be:
* 15 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 6 am - 9 am.
The Practice Cleaner will support the internal cleaning of the site according to detailed work schedules and standards set out by the Practice, using the materials and equipment provided in the manner recommended by the manufacturers and suppliers. The role requires adherence to health and safety regulations to ensure all cleaning is carried out safely. Each team member will typically have designated areas for which they are responsible.
The main duties of this role include:
* Vacuuming carpets and mats
* Cleaning hard and soft floor surfaces, toilets, kitchen areas, and telephony and computer equipment
* Collecting and bagging general and clinical waste for disposal
* Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet rolls, and waste disposal bags
* Cleaning and maintaining cleaning equipment for the next use
* Reporting faulty cleaning equipment and any issues requiring attention to the Practice Administrators
* Monitoring and reporting stock levels of cleaning materials and placing orders as needed
* Washing and disinfecting waste bins when necessary
* Following and adhering to Health and Safety procedures
* Carrying out cleaning regimens to ensure regular and timely cleaning
* Recording cleaning activities for each area as required
* Meeting regularly with the Cleaning Team Leader to discuss focus areas
* Undertaking occasional additional cleaning tasks, with prior notice and overtime paid at the hourly rate
