Digital Learning Designer Salary: £32,000–£38,000 per annum (DOE) Full Time | 12-Month Fixed Term Contract Are you a creative and detail-focused digital learning professional with a passion for designing inclusive, engaging content that supports growth and performance? We’re looking for a Digital Learning Designer to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract, helping to shape a high-quality, learner-centred digital experience across Stonegate. You’ll work closely with the wider L&D team and subject matter experts to scope, design and deliver digital learning solutions that build individual capability, support career development, and drive business success. From storyboarding and content curation to platform testing and evaluation, you’ll be involved at every stage of the learning design process. What You’ll Be Doing: Using a performance consulting approach to gather insight into business and learner needs, identifying capability gaps and appropriate digital learning solutions. Designing inclusive and engaging digital learning experiences using instructional design principles, adult learning theory and a variety of delivery methods. Reviewing and updating existing digital content to ensure it meets legislative and business requirements and remains fit for purpose. Creating storyboards, treatment plans and digital assets in collaboration with development colleagues, and supporting video and blended content creation. Curating relevant learning content using internal and external resources to support a broader development offer. Working confidently with learning platforms (e.g. LMS/LXP) to test and deploy content, support system updates, and enhance the learner experience. Contributing to the design of digital learning as part of wider frameworks, including career pathways and leadership development. Using data and learner feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of digital content and identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborating closely with the L&D team and other stakeholders to balance workstreams, support shared goals, and ensure high-quality output. Keeping up to date with trends in learning tech and innovation (e.g. AI in learning), bringing new thinking into the team and applying it where relevant. What We’re Looking For: Solid understanding of learning needs analysis, instructional design models (e.g. 5Di), and adult learning theory. Experience designing digital learning using a range of modalities and technologies, with knowledge of tools like Articulate Storyline an advantage. Knowledge of inclusive learning design and accessibility best practices. Experience working with LMS or LXP platforms to manage, test and launch learning content. Strong content curation skills – able to gather, verify and structure resources that meet specific performance or learning needs. Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, able to work collaboratively across teams and functions. Proactive, curious and passionate about staying ahead of learning trends and technologies. Team player with a positive, problem-solving mindset and a commitment to high standards.
