Here at Wellpets, we are looking for a friendly and approachable Veterinary Receptionist to join our fantastic team! This is a part-time role covering maternity leave (12 months) with the possibility of becoming permanent.
What does the role involve?
As the first point of contact, our receptionists play a vital role in ensuring that our clients and their pets have a welcoming and positive experience. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a warm and compassionate demeanour, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Liaising with the clients and the clinical staff to provide a high level of customer care.
2. Meeting and greeting clients and pets.
3. Booking appointments and diary management.
4. Managing telephone and email enquiries.
5. Taking payment for services and products.
6. Managing cash and end-of-day banking.
7. Maintaining a clean and safe space for our clients and their pets.
About the rota and location
This is a part-time role working 30-32 hours per week including 1 in 4 weekends. The shifts will be between 8:00am and 6:30pm.
Location: Sittingbourne (may be required to cover Sheppey branches).
Our ideal candidate
1. Previous customer care and reception experience is essential.
2. Excellent communication and computer skills.
3. Enjoy working as part of a team within a busy environment.
4. Able to work on own and prioritise daily tasks.
5. An interest in animal care/welfare and desire to work within a busy veterinary practice.
