Job description Business Development Executive – Waste & Recycling Services Field-Based – Burton Upon Trent & Surrounding Areas Company EV + Great Salary + Uncapped Commission Full-Time | Permanent Ready to talk rubbish all day – and get paid well for it? At Ward, we’re looking for an energetic, commercially-minded Business Development Executive to represent our award-winning waste and recycling brand across Burton Upon Trent & Surrounding Areas. If you love getting out and about, meeting new people, building lasting relationships, and converting conversations into customers – this is your chance to make a difference in a role with real autonomy, backed by a supportive team. About the Role As part of our growing Business Development team, you’ll:

* Be the face of Ward Recycling in your local patch, identifying and converting new business opportunities
* Promote our total waste solutions, including specialist compaction services
* Carry out around 10 quality site visits a day, building trusted relationships with commercial clients
* Structure your own working week while delivering outstanding results
* Hold a weekly one-to-one meeting with the Head of Sales (Waste) to review progress and strategy
* Participate in monthly sales meetings to share best practice and stay aligned with company goals
* Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new customers
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver the best service for your clients What You’ll Need
* Previous experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing B2B roles
* Confident, bubbly, and persuasive personality – people should love talking to you
* Strong resilience and tenacity – you’ll thrive on chasing down leads and closing deals
* Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
* Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Ideally based in or around Burton, with a good knowledge of the local area What You’ll Get in Return
