Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic Mechanical Technician responsible for a variety of production tasks across a wide product range. Your duties will include the manufacture and testing of mechanical systems.
Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Technician:
1. Carry out motor builds & assemblies following detailed drawings and assembly procedures.
2. Assist in communicating errors in drawings or assembly to Production Engineers/Section Leaders.
3. Help implement lean manufacturing systems.
4. Adhere to control processes to ensure conforming products.
5. Work to high tolerances and complex drawings.
6. Comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements.
7. Receive appropriate training to perform various manufacturing operations.
Knowledge and experience required:
* Completion of an apprenticeship in a relevant field is desirable but not essential.
* Ability to read complex mechanical drawings.
* Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assemblies and equipment is desirable but not essential.
* Demonstrable knowledge of mechanical systems.
* Ability to diagnose faults on mechanical equipment.
* Understanding of production control documentation and traceability principles.
* Ability to trace faults in end products, identify production inefficiencies, and suggest solutions.
* Working knowledge of ISO 9000 requirements in a production environment.
* Experience working to high tolerances.
