JOB DESCRIPTION
About The Team:
This is a strong opportunity to join a fast-moving, customer-centric business where transport planning directly impacts the end customer experience. We are looking for a Transport Planner with a clear bias toward B2C home delivery, final mile efficiency, and hands-on optimisation of multi-drop routes. While the role spans end-to-end transport planning, the primary focus is on home delivery planning: improving drop density, driving route efficiency, challenging system-generated plans, and reducing cost per delivery while protecting service. You will play a key role in closing capability gaps by actively refining plans rather than accepting tool outputs at face value. You will work closely with courier partners, haulage providers, and internal logistics teams to deliver high-quality, executable plans that support reliable, on-time delivery to customers.
What You Will Be Doing:
1. Building and executing daily multi-drop van delivery plans for B2C home delivery
2. Actively reviewing and refining computer-generated routes to improve drop density, driving time, and overall efficiency
3. Identifying and implementing route-level tweaks to reduce cost per delivery while maintaining customer service
4. Working closely with courier and DSP partners to improve on-road execution and performance
5. Reviewing base schedules and delivery patterns to unlock continuous improvement opportunities
6. Building and executing weekly outbound linehaul plans to support final mile delivery
7. Planning regional distribution sequences to ensure on-time arrival at final mile depots
8. Working with 3PL partners to meet connections and improve performance through smarter scheduling
9. Building inbound stock plans aligned to outbound and home delivery requirements
10. Managing pallet counts across production sites
11. Working closely with Supply Chain and Production to maintain a smooth and reliable despatch schedule
12. Visiting distribution sites regularly to ensure plans translate into safe, efficient execution
Who You Are:
13. At least 2 year of experience in transport planning with B2C or home delivery exposure
14. A demonstrable track record of improving route efficiency, increasing vehicle fill, and reducing cost
15. Strong understanding of UK road haulage and relevant regulatory requirements
16. Hands-on experience using transport planning tools, with confidence to challenge and improve system-generated plans
17. Experience working with drivers, couriers, and hauliers (3PLs)
18. Strong communication skills, able to work with stakeholders across operations, planning, and production
What you will get in return:
19. 70% off HelloFresh or Green Chef boxes
20. Company pension scheme
21. Gym membership
22. Bupa private medical insurance (including dental & family cover options)
23. Mental health first aiders and an employee assistance programme
24. Dog friendly office! (London site only)
25. Nursery support scheme
26. Cycle to work scheme
27. Group Life Assurance
