Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef/cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and creativity in meal presentation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes that meet our high standards of quality and safety, while also ensuring an efficient kitchen operation.
Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
* Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared safely and hygienically.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
* Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive working environment.
* Ensure all equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.

Pay: £12.21-£16.93 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
