Casual ELC Officer
West Dunbartonshire Council are looking to recruit a bank of casual Early Learning and Childcare staff.
Successful applicants will be available to work in any of our Early Learning and Childcare Centres as and when required. The Early Learning & Childcare centres cater for children between the ages of 0-5 years. You should work as an effective member of an early learning and childcare team, delivering flexible high‑quality, child‑centred services that meet the needs of children and their families.
Applicants are exempt from the requirements of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975, meaning any convictions that are “spent” under that Act must still be disclosed. Failure to disclose such convictions may result in dismissal or disciplinary action.
The successful candidates must either be registered with SSSC or be able to register within six months of appointment. We would welcome applications from those who are due to graduate, however, being successful for the position would be subject to gaining your qualification.
This post is considered regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020; membership in the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
