Location: Long Eaton, Nottingham
Hours: 39 hours per week - across 2 rotating shifts - early and late
Salary: £22.12 per hour (including shift allowance) - Pay review pending.

Inside Our Tool Room
Our in-house tool room is equipped with an impressive range of machinery – HURCO 5-Axis CNC Miller, lathes, pillar drills, and surface grinders – we can manufacture complex parts and maintain critical press tooling without relying on external suppliers.
The role
You’ll be responsible for the manufacture, maintenance, and repair of tooling, jigs, fixtures, and special-purpose equipment that support our production operation
Key Responsibilities:
* Manufacture and modify tooling, jigs, fixtures, and special-purpose machinery
* Accurately interpret engineering drawings and determine the most efficient manufacturing route for tooling and modifications.
* Operate a full range of Toolroom machinery (milling, turning, grinding, CNC etc)
* Assemble and disassemble press tools, check tolerances and ensure functional performance
* Identify tooling faults raised by production teams or inspection reports and implement effective corrective solutions
* Perform, or be willing to train in, hard tool steel welding as part of the repair process
* Identify opportunities to enhance productivity and efficiency within the Toolroom.
What We’re Looking For:
* Time-served apprentice/skilled in Tool making or Machining
* Precision engineering and toolroom operations
* Experience with press tooling, fault diagnosis and tool repair would be an advantage
* Ability to read technical drawings
* CNC experience
* TIG welding experience desirable or willing to learn
