The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Process / Project Engineers to join GA Petfood Partners' manufacturing engineering team on a fixed term basis. You will be part of a team leading full project delivery, from concept to commissioning, across our Portmanteau and C3 next-generation systems. These projects create an automated flow from packing to order fulfilment, linking production with logistics to meet real-time demand. Together, they deliver a continuous, touch-free journey from our Larder through advanced packing to dynamic fulfilment and delivery, together they represent £70million+ of investment in our operational capabilities.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Lead engineering projects including new lines, expansions, and improvements, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
* Using data analysis, Lean, and Six Sigma, you will optimise processes, manage risks, track KPIs, and provide executive reporting.
* coordinating suppliers and contractors and integrating equipment into existing systems.
* You will also drive digital transformation with SCADA, PLC, AutoCAD, and ERP tools,
* Leading cross-functional teams and aligning stakeholders.
* implement safety protocols, support staff training on new systems, and maintain accurate technical documentation and SOPs.
What GA are looking for:
* 3+ years of experience - process/manufacturing engineering, FMCG, or process manufacturing industries, such as automotive or consumer goods.
* Previous involvement in cross-functional project teams (R&D, QA, Operations) to launch product innovations or facility upgrades.
* Experience managing installation and commissioning phases of process equipment such as mixers, dryers, conveyors, six axis robots and packaging lines.
* Leading capital engineering projects ranging from £250k to £5mil.
* CAD design capabilities/experience (Autocad 2D-3D)
* Data analysis (Excel, Power BI, Minitab)
* Risk assessment (FMEA, HAZOP), knowledge of health & safety compliance.
* Vendor & CAPEX project coordination
* Process development, Value Stream Mapping, time study & process optimisation (MOST, MTM). – (Lean Six Sigma highly desirable.)
* Engineering related qualifications Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing min HND/BEng
Working Hours:
The working hours for this role will be Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm.
