We looking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Assistant SENCO (HLTA) to join our team at Southern Cross School. As part of our team, you will enthuse and motivate students to strive for success while maintaining a relational learning environment for all children.
This role will initially include leading a Pathways Support Group, to help to improve attendance and engagement in KS3. It will include developing a nurturing provision for those pupils who struggle to access our current pathway offers. It will promote a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity and encourages the participation of all students.
The role will also include assisting the SENCO with:
* The day-to-day management and coordination of SEN provision across the school.
* Supporting the identification and assessment of students with SEN
* Providing guidance and support to teaching and support staff on effective strategies for inclusive education.
* Liaising with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
* Contributing to the maintenance of accurate records and documentation related to SEN provision.
* Supporting the development and delivery of staff training on SEN issues.
