Job Summary
A challenging opportunity exists for an experienced Health Physics Monitor to join our team. As a key member of our radiation protection group, you will be responsible for providing assurance through radiation monitoring and assisting the Radiation Protection Supervisor in managing radiation protection issues across the submarine manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
* Perform audits on facilities such as the radiography enclosure to ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations.
* Inspect equipment such as pumps and grinders to ensure they are free from contamination.
* Operate the waste management plant and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
* Good understanding of radiation protection principles, techniques, and legislation.
* Minimum 3 GCSE Grade C's including Maths and 1 STEM (ideally Physics).
* City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Radiation Protection.
* Full UK Driving License.
* Practical experience in other nuclear operations such as high activity sealed sources, contamination, or radiation monitoring.
