Children's Home Manager - EBD Service
Location: Sudbury
Salary: £48,000 - £50,000 + £5,000 Welcome Bonus + 21% Annual Bonus + On-Call Payments

About The Role
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead a well-established children's home in Sudbury, Suffolk. This is a 4-bed home supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential childcare and experience leading successful Ofsted inspections.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and therapeutic support for children aged 8-18
* Lead and inspire a team to deliver outstanding outcomes through trauma-informed care
* Manage day-to-day operations, strategic development, and regulatory compliance
* Mentor and supervise staff, conduct performance reviews, and promote professional development
* Maintain oversight of budgets, expenditure, and service performance
* Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, professionals, and families
* Ensure the home meets or exceeds expectations from Ofsted and internal audits
* Participate in the on-call rota to ensure out-of-hours support is available when needed
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 3 years' experience in residential childcare at a senior level
* Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)
* Achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children & Young People)
* Solid understanding of The Children Act 1989, safeguarding frameworks, and children's home regulations
* Experience in managing budgets and service development
* Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Flexibility to participate in on-call duties
