The Role
Vigilant Security are looking for driven individuals to join our existing Port Security Team at the South Queensferry Cruise Ship Terminal. The South Queensferry Cruise Ship Terminal operates during the summer months supporting visiting cruise liners.
The successful candidates must be able to work as part of a team and will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operation requirements of the Port and Cruise Ship Terminal, whist maintaining high standards of professionalism at all times.
We offer a competitive rate of pay.
Shifts will be determined by the visiting Cruise Liner.
Security Supervisor - £18.00 p/h
Key Tasks
* Understand and adhere to the strategic direction of the client.
* Manage the port security, ensuring that all processes are adhered to including all access control and associated reports.
* Support the continual development of working practises and maintain an excellent knowledge the site.
* Ensure no unauthorised persons allowed within restricted areas.
* Promote clear and concise communication skills.
* Provide a professional first impression whist being responsive and detail oriented.
* Be seen as a visible customer focused professional.
* Ensure that the standards of presentation set by the client are always met.
* Complete a full detailed handover at the end of each shift including reporting and any associated paperwork.
* Ensure that all H&S policies are adhered to.
* Report and maintain an accurate record of any incidents that may occur.
* Supervise Port Security Team
Schedule
* Must be Flexible. Includes nights and weekends.
Skills/Experience Required
* Ability to remain calm and confident under pressure and work within strict time limits.
* Always maintain and practice a high degree of confidentiality.
* Provide support to the wider team when required.
* Professional, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated team player.
* Ability to work independently using own initiative when required.
* Consistently well presented in line with company/client standards.
* IT literacy would be an advantage.
* Clear, concise, confident communication and administration skills.
* Reliable with excellent time-management skills.
* Customer Care Awareness.
* Telephone and email etiquette
* Experience in technical systems is desirable but not essential.
* Fully comprehensive 5-year work/education history.
* Door Supervisor SIA license is required.
