This pivotal role will lead and manage all operations of the Queen's Film Theatre in collaboration with and in support of the Head of Culture and Arts. The successful candidate will ensure that the QFT delivers the very best experience to all visitors and partners, providing inspiring and supportive management to the team. Playing a key role in the strategic planning and development of the QFT will be large part of the role. About the person: We are looking for someone with significant experience, knowledge and enthusiasm in the cinema industry to lead the QFT team and business operation, delivering commercial and cultural success in a fast-paced busy cinema environment. The successful candidate will have: A primary degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject; OR Substantial relevant experience in a cinema or cultural venue management role demonstrating development through involvement in series of progressively more demanding relevant work roles e.g. Duty Management, Box Office Management experience role involving large numbers of customers and leading a team of staff will be considered. Significant experience in managing a cinema or cultural venue. Demonstrable understanding of technical requirements of cinema projection. Demonstrable understanding of box office systems and hardware. Demonstrable knowledge of and passion for cinema.
