Due to a significant increase in commercial property support across the Council, we are looking to appoint a full-time solicitor in our Commercial Property team.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced qualified Solicitor or Barrister with in-depth knowledge of all aspects of property law. The successful candidate will be capable of:
1. Advising clients on a wide range of high-level complex property law cases.
2. Handling high caseloads with minimal supervision, including Landlord & Tenant work, sales & purchases, and other property law matters.
Candidate requirements
You should be skilled at providing clear, concise guidance, well-organized, and able to work effectively in a team. Experience in the public sector, especially with Compulsory Purchase Orders, Enforced Sales, and development work, is highly desirable.

Work arrangements
The role involves a hybrid work model with a minimum of one day in the office (preferably Wednesday) at Princess Building, Halifax, and remote work otherwise, supported by modern technology.
