Duties Include
* To develop and maintain mechanical and electrical design drawings using CAD Software packages.
* Create detailed drawings and BOMs for production & logistics.
* Ability to determine the operational requirements and be able to propose solutions.
* Design and implement process improvements for existing automation equipment.
* Make sure that all design work is completed and to acceptable standards and confirmed with senior manager.
* Direction and co-ordination of prototypes manufacture.
* Liaison with R&D to improve efficiencies
* Produce mechanical designs from concept to production drawings in line with customer needs and business objectives.
* To complete all relevant documentation to the highest of standards and ensure it is accurate.
* Communicate effectively with the manufacturing team to ensure that all projects are running smoothly and effectively.
* Ensure all health and safety requirements are took into consideration throughout the design process.
Essential Criteria
* Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
* 3+ years’ experience working within a Design role.
* Strong organisational and planning skills with ability to prioritise.
* Working with design packages, CAD, ProE, etc
* Previous SAP experience.
* Preferable experience in a manufacturing environment/manufacturing best practice
* Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
* Requirement to both works on-site and to travel for business.
* Full clean driving license.
