GSC Executives are delighted to be working with an award-winning Tier 1 contractor, in the search for a strategic and commercially minded Head of Procurement (Construction). The ideal candidate will be confident in defining and delivering long-term procurement and supply chain strategies, within a large organisation. This is a key leadership role where you’ll drive efficiencies, performance, innovation, and lead a high performing team.
Responsibilities:
* Building and managing key relationships with internal business leaders and external suppliers.
* Delivering procurement strategies that support operational success and business growth.
* Driving improvements in supply chain processes, tools, and systems to unlock savings and efficiency.
* Ensuring suppliers and/or subcontractors have the relevant health and safety accreditation and sustainability and carbon reduction policies that align.
* Developing and leading a business-wide procurement and supply chain strategy aligned with business and Group objectives.
* Overseeing performance management and compliance, including reporting, KPIs, and supplier assurance.
* Collaborating across departments.
* Establishing alternative sourcing strategies where needed.
Knowledge & Qualifications
* Extensive experience in procurement, commercial strategy, and supply chain operations.
* Experience with framework agreements, operational controls, and financial oversight.
* Degree-educated (or equivalent experience); MCIPS
* Success in leading procurement at a senior level within a large organisation.
* Strong track record in cost management, supplier development, and strategic sourcing.
* Confident communicator and negotiator.
