Role: Adult Social Worker – Bromsgrove Area Team (Part‑time)
Location: Bromsgrove
Salary: £32,020 – £36,298 (up to £38,296 with AMHP) + £3,000 Market Forces payment
About the Role
As an Adult Social Worker you will support adults and carers to live independently and access community resources. You will assess needs, collaborate with multi‑agency partners, maintain statutory compliance, and safeguard welfare.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage with adults and carers to assess needs and develop personalized support plans.
* Collaborate with professionals and agencies to provide multi‑agency support and enable independent living.
* Ensure compliance with the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health Act 1983.
* Participate in safeguarding procedures and interventions using the Making Safeguarding Personal approach.
* Represent the council in court proceedings and advocate for the welfare of service users.
Requirements
* Proven experience in social work, particularly in assessment and support planning for adults and carers.
* Demonstrated experience in adult social care, especially with older adults and those with physical disabilities.
* Track record of involving users and carers in their care arrangements.
* Experience collaborating with health and social care agencies and professionals.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
Qualifications
* Professional qualification in social work.
* Current registration with Social Work England.
* Relevant post‑qualifying certifications.
* Level 1 qualification in Essential Digital Skills or demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Information
* The role may require travel throughout the county, including areas with limited public transport.

* Strong spoken English is essential.
