Role Overview:
As a MASH Social Worker, you will be responsible for the effective screening and analysis of safeguarding concerns. Working within a fast-paced, co-located multi-agency environment, you will ensure that children and young people receive timely and proportionate responses to risk in line with statutory guidance and local thresholds.
What You Will Do:
* Receive, screen, and evaluate incoming safeguarding referrals and contacts.
* Conduct initial risk assessments to identify safeguarding concerns and appropriate thresholds.
* Apply statutory guidance and local procedures to determine outcomes such as early help, assessment, or statutory intervention.
* Gather, share, and analyse information from partner agencies including police, health, education, and early help services.
* Produce high-quality written analyses and clear professional recommendations.
* Identify cases requiring Section 17 (Child in Need) or Section 47 (Child Protection) intervention.
* Participate in strategy discussions and safeguarding decision-making meetings.
* Work collaboratively within a co-located multi-agency setting.
* Build and maintain effective professional relationships with statutory and partner agencies.
* Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of MASH processes and safeguarding pathways.
