With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities include:

3. Acting as the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager for daily operational queries.
4. Supporting the Store Manager in coordinating seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
5. Ensuring the store is clean, tidy, and well-presented.
6. Prioritizing the replenishment of products important to our customers.

11. Being knowledgeable about store operations and leading improvements.
12. Following health and safety routines and ensuring colleagues do the same.
13. Communicating effectively with the team and keeping them informed.
14. Seeking ways to simplify operations and sharing ideas with the Store Manager.
15. Putting the customer first, resolving queries, and tailoring service to individual needs.
16. Recognizing colleagues who deliver great service and helping remove obstacles to service excellence.
17. Resolving colleague queries or escalating them as needed.
18. Ensuring appropriate staffing and managing short-term absences by finding cover.
19. Being a Keyholder, attending alarm call-outs to ensure store safety and security.
20. Monitoring and acting on internal communications promptly.
21. Balancing service and replenishment duties effectively.
22. Supporting the Store Manager in managing staff absence and conducting return-to-work interviews.
23. Building relationships with Area Managers & People Partners, escalating issues, seeking advice, and engaging in coaching opportunities.
24. If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include managing daily operations of the post office. This requires passing a background check for the Post Office Financial and criminal convictions. Failure to pass these checks will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
