Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturing business to recruit an Assembly Line Manager to lead operations at their production facility.
This is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational performance across the assembly function, ensuring output, quality, safety, and cost targets are consistently achieved. The successful candidate will play a central role in developing people, improving processes, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities of the Assembly Line Manager include:
* Lead day-to-day assembly operations to ensure production plans and delivery schedules are met
* Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime
* Monitor performance against KPIs, identifying and implementing corrective actions where required
* Manage, motivate, and develop team leaders and operatives to achieve high performance
* Ensure appropriate staffing levels, skills coverage, and training plans are in place
* Ensure products are built in line with quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements
* Take ownership of health and safety across the assembly area
* Ensure compliance with all HSE legislation, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
* Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
* Drive waste reduction, efficiency improvements, and cost-saving activities
Experience required:
* Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing or assembly environment
* Strong understanding of production processes and operational KPIs
* Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
* Good working knowledge of health & safety regulations
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
* IOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification
* Experience using ERP or production planning systems
