WHAT TO EXPECT
As EMC Laboratory Supervisor, you will join our Engineering Test Operations department that focusing on delivery of the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) sign-off of vehicles and components from concept to end of volume production to ensure all vehicles meet the necessary legislative, corporate requirements, and quality attributes.
In this role, you will oversee the EMC Laboratory's 'day-to-day' operations developing, managing, and maintaining the EMC facilities, lab quality process and test procedures and will be overseeing a group of EMC test engineers in the performance of their work, ensuring sufficient resources, tools, and training are provided.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Developing, managing, and maintaining the EMC facilities, lab quality process and test procedures
* Develop and manage right health and safety culture and processes.
* Line management of EMC laboratory test engineer
* Support EMC technical leads in the technical development of the facilities and staff to meet the test requirements of the future.
* To lead delivery of validation activities for vehicles and components against corporate requirements to ensure reliability, robustness, and excellent customer experience.
* Supporting the accreditation of the Laboratory to ISO17025
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
* Relevant previous experience in a similar engineering role in a test facility
* Knowledge of laboratory techniques and methodology, including the theory, principles of testing, analyses, and practices
* Experience in developing policies and procedures to ensure efficient lab operations and quality service.
* Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor, train, motivate, and guide a team towards achieving excellence in laboratory operations.
* Experience developing test plans and test reports.
* Knowledge of calibration equipment and measurement uncertainty analysis.
