About You
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals that our residents will love. You’ll maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Whether maintaining food supplies, showing new starters how to use equipment, or cleaning spills, you’ll always prioritize Resident wellbeing.
HC-One is looking for a Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience. You should have or be willing to study for an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation. Good record-keeping and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to follow recipes. When communicating with Residents or colleagues, kindness and consideration are paramount.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and to undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and escalate concerns appropriately.
