We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and caring individual to join Inclusion Recovery Hampshire, a drug and alcohol treatment and support service for individuals affected by their own or someone else’s use of alcohol or drugs.
You will provide a range of interventions, care planning, assessments and support service users through their treatment journey and recovery ambitions—from beginning to end—as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside our prescribers. You will offer health support via testing clinics for blood borne viruses (BBVs), embrace the concept of recovery and keep up-to-date and accurate records and documentation. The vacancy is based within the Havant hub for Inclusion Recovery Hampshire and is open to qualified professionals or members of the public with some understanding of substance misuse.
You will be an integral part of a team, making a real difference to people’s lives and the wider communities we serve.
Main duties
* Part time Recovery Worker (30 hours per week) at Inclusion Recovery Hampshire’s Havant Service.
* Provide high quality, inclusive and non-judgemental support; help service users develop social networks and coping skills to reintegrate into the wider community.
* Take a duty of care to those in need and support issues related to drugs and alcohol.

Job Description
* Be responsible for maintaining a full caseload of complex clients and supporting them to move forward in their recovery.
* Accept referrals, assess need and make appropriate recommendations as part of a robust duty system.
* Provide harm reduction advice and information with emphasis on safer drug and alcohol use, safer sex and BBVs (HIV, Hepatitis A, B, C).
* Carry out comprehensive assessments and construct care packages with multidisciplinary colleagues; review care plans and manage onward referrals.
* Provide a range of structured psychosocial interventions including CBT-based brief solution-focused therapy and motivational enhancement techniques; create and facilitate group work interventions.
* Make domiciliary visits as needed, including for service users with disabilities and those with family responsibilities; maintain contact with service users while accommodated in residential units.
* Develop and sustain links with multidisciplinary services including statutory and non-statutory providers of drug and alcohol services, criminal justice services and wrap-around services.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Essential: Accredited Drug and Alcohol Practitioner, or willingness to work towards accreditation during employment with Inclusion.
Desirable:
* Relevant training/qualification in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Mapping techniques (ITEP/BTEI).
* Foundation Degree / HNC in related field (counselling, social work, nursing, psychology, social studies).
Experience
* Essential: Experience of working in the drug and alcohol field.
Skills
* Essential: Commitment to and understanding of harm reduction and recovery approaches when working with people who use drugs and alcohol.
