We are working with a Global EPC for large scale BESS projects occurring at the start of the 2026 year around the Manchester Area. We have a requirement for full project site teams ranging from Project Managers, Site Managers, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical supervisors and Project Engineers.
The Project Engineer will play a central role in supporting the successful execution of BESS projects from early construction through commissioning. This position bridges the gap between site operations, engineering design, and project management - ensuring that all technical, quality, and documentation requirements are met throughout the delivery process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical coordination between design, procurement, and site delivery teams.
* Review engineering drawings, specifications, and supplier documentation to ensure constructability and compliance.
* Support planning and scheduling activities, tracking progress against key project milestones.
* Manage technical documentation, RFIs, and change control processes.
* Assist with QA/QC inspections, and commissioning preparation.
* Ensure HSE and quality requirements are embedded across all project phases.
* Contribute to project reporting, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ideal Background:
* Degree-qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Energy Engineering (or equivalent experience).
* 2-5 years' experience working on renewable energy, BESS, or power infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of project delivery processes and construction interfaces.
* Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Willingness to work site-based in the UK
