SEND Caseworker – Wirral Council Location: Wirral Rate per hour: £34.82 per hour We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Caseworker to join Wirral Council’s SEND Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with strong EHCP knowledge and experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Key Responsibilities: Act as the main point of contact for parents/carers and young people throughout the EHC assessment process Coordinate Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessments for children and young people aged 0–25 Work closely with families, schools, health professionals, social care and voluntary agencies Ensure children, young people and families are fully involved in the assessment process Prepare and draft Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) Ensure statutory timescales are met for assessments and reviews Lead and contribute to multi-agency meetings Requirements: Previous experience within SEND/EHCP services Experience working with children and young people with SEND Strong report writing and person-centred planning skills Experience leading multi-agency meetings Excellent communication and partnership working skills Ability to manage a busy caseload and work to deadlines Why work through Pertemps?
