Overview
Kintyre community is currently seeking an enthusiastic staff nurse to work within the Cardiac Nurse Service. The post holder would be responsible for the running of clinics and care of cardiac patients with support from the clinical nurse specialist. This would include working with patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, inherited cardiac conditions, arrhythmias, and cardiac surgery post op, and the nurse would also be involved in the cardiac rehabilitation of these patients. The staff nurse would support the cardiac nurse specialist with the education of staff and patients within this area, and would also cover clinics within the Mid Argyll area.
Training would be provided in post.
Responsibilities
The post holder is responsible for the running of cardiac clinics and care of cardiac patients, with support from the clinical nurse specialist. Responsibilities include working with patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, inherited cardiac conditions, arrhythmias, and post‑operative cardiac surgery patients, and involvement in cardiac rehabilitation. The nurse will also assist in educating staff and patients within the area and will cover clinics in the Mid Argyll area.
Qualifications
Previous experience desirable but not essential. Training will be provided in post.
